In the city of Lampasas, a segment of US 190 was redesignated on the state highway system as US 281 from the intersection of US 281 eastward to US 183, a distance of approximately 0.2 milea. Additionally, a segment of US 190 was designated on the state highway system concurrently with existing US 183 with new US 281 from the intersection of US 281 southward to the intersection of US 190, a distance of approximately 0.3 mileb. Additionally, a segment of US 190 and its concurrency SH 36 were redesignated on the state highway system as BU 190-K from 1.1 miles east of Knob Hill Road in Bell County, southeastward and through the city of Rogers, to west of County Road 104 in Milam County, a distance of approximately 4.9 milesb. Around the city of Madisonville, US 190 and SL 1853 are designated concurrently along a new location from the intersection with existing US 190 / SH 21 southward and northeastward to the intersection with I-45, a distance of approximately 5.9 milesa. Additionally, a segment of US 190 is removed from the state highway system along its concurrency with SH 21 from the future intersection with SL 1853 northeastward to the intersection with I-45, a distance of approximately 3.4 milesb. Additionally, a segment of US 190 is removed from the state highway system along its concurrency with I-45 from the intersection with SH 21 southeastward to the future intersection with SL 1853, a distance of approximately 1.5 milesb.
