In the city of Mount Pleasant, a segment of US 271 was designated along a new location on the state highway system from the intersection of existing US 67 southeastward to a point south of the city of Mount Pleasant, a distance of approximately 3.8 milesa.
Additionally, a segment of US 271 was redesignated on the state highway system as US 67 with a concurrency of SH 49 from the intersection of the proposed new location of US 271 southeastward to the intersection of Elsye Street (the proposed new location of US 67), a distance of approximately 0.4 mileb.
Additionally, a segment of US 271 was redesignated on the state highway system as SH 49 from Elsye Street (the proposed new location of US 67) southeastward to the intersection of existing US 271 (the proposed new location of BU 271-E), a distance of approximately 1.6 milesb.
Additionally, a segment of US 271 was redesignated on the state highway system as BU 271-E from the intersection of existing BU 271-E and SH 49 southward to the intersection of the proposed new location of US 271, a distance of approximately 2.3 milesb.
