From the Texas/Oklahoma State Line, 7.0 miles north of Oklaunion, southerly via Oklaunion, Vernon, Seymour, Albany, Cisco, Rising Star, Brownwood, Goldthwaite, Lampasas, Briggs, Austin, Lockhart, Luling, Gonzales and Cuero to Refugio, with an ultimate terminus at Corpus Christi contingent upon the completion of the present planned relocation of SH 29 from Refugio to Gregory. (New Description) Section between Albany and Junction rerouted to between Albany and Corpus Christi.
From the Texas/Oklahoma State Line, 7.0 miles north of Oklaunion southerly via Oklaunion, Vernon, Seymour, Throckmorton, Breckenridge, Cisco, Rising Star, Brownwood, Goldthwaite, Lampasas, Briggs, Austin, Lockhart, Luling, Gonzales, and Cuero to Refugio with an ultimate terminus at Corpus Christi contingent upon the completion of the present planned relocation of State Route 29 from Refugio to Gregory. Section between Throckmorton and Cisco rerouted. Section of SH 6, south of Throckmorton to Breckenridge, and SH 187 cancelled and combined.

(Wilbarger, Baylor, Throckmorton, Stephens, Eastland, Brown, Mills, Lampasas, Burnet, Williamson, Travis, Caldwell, Gonzales, DeWitt, Goliad, and Refugio Counties) At district’s request, designated US 277 on the state highway system along a new location, from the new intersection of US 183, westward, and southward to 1.2 miles southwest of the existing intersection of US 183, a distance of approximately 1.5 miles; designated US 183 concurrent with US 277 and US 283 on the state highway system along a new location, from the intersection of US 277 eastward and northward to the intersection of US 82, a distance of approximately 4.5 miles; removed the former segment of US 277 from the state highway system and returned to Baylor County for control, jurisdiction, and maintenance, from 1.2 miles southwest of the existing intersection of US 183 northeastward to the intersection of US 183, a distance of approximately 1.2 miles; redesignated former location of US 183, US 277, and US 283 as BU 183-B, BU 277-C, BU 283-B, and SS 334; designated a new location on the state highway system as BU 183-B, BU 277-C and BU 283-B; BU 183-B concurrent with BU 277-C and BU 283-B from the northern intersection of US 183, southwestward and southward to the southern intersection of US 183, a distance of approximately 3.3 miles.

In the city of Cedar Park, BU 183-Q was designated on the state highway system along Old US Highway 183 (a city street) from Cedar Park Drive southeastward to 0.2 mile south of Buttercup Creek Boulevard, a distance of approximately 0.8 mile. This designation was intended to be temporary. Upon completion of the construction of the new US 183 along this same location, BU 183-Q was redesignated as US 183 on the state highway system from Cedar Park Drive southeastward to 0.2 mile south of Buttercup Creek Boulevard, a distance of approximately 0.8 milea. Also upon completion of the construction of the new US 183, the former US 183 was removed from the state highway system along Bell Boulevard and control, jurisdiction, and maintenance were transferred to the city of Cedar Parkb.
