Contracted Qualification Test

Given an operational Dragline, the candidate will perform the following tasks:

A. Preventive Maintenance: The candidate correctly:

_____1. Checked fluid levels – cold check.
_____2. Checked air cleaner system – serviced if required.
_____3. Checked tire pressures (if equipped)
_____4. Inspected tires for cuts/tread wear/proper mounting.
_____5. Checked tracks for slack, wear, missing parts (if equipped)
_____6. Lubricated machine.
_____7. Inspected hydraulic lines and connections.
_____8. Mounted machine correctly.
_____9. Checked travel locks/Parking Brake.
_____10. Checked wire ropes, sheaves, guards.
_____11. Checked pendant lines.
_____12. Checked gantry.
_____13. Checked headache Ball, Block, Buckets, Safety Latches.
_____14. Checked handholds and guardrails.
_____15. Checked house lock and brake.
_____16. Inspected the boom and sections.
_____17. Inspected the boom angle indicator.
_____18. Started engine correctly.
_____19. Checked back-up alarm.
_____20. Operated controls.
_____21. Checked steering system.
_____22. Operated controls to warm up fluids.
_____23. Checked brakes, frictions, locks.
_____24. Checked drag bucket, hookups, drag line.
_____25. Checked all safety items.
_____26. Checked counter-weight.
_____27. Checked Load Chart Decals.
_____28. Checked Hand Signals Decals.

B. Roading the Dragline: (Applicable only if wheel type) The candidate correctly:

_____5. Turned-on all lights and safety lights.
_____6. Verified selected route to job site was safe.
