Contracted Qualification Test

A = Acceptable      U = Unacceptable      C = Comments

Given an operational loader, the candidate will perform the following tasks:

A. Preventive Maintenance: The candidate correctly:

_____1. Check fluid levels – cold check.
_____2. Checked air cleaner system – serviced if required.
_____3. Checked tire pressures (or tracks)
_____4. Inspected tires for cuts/tread-wear/proper mounting.
_____5. Inspected bucket for wear.
_____6. Lubricated machine.
_____7. Inspected hydraulic lines and connections.
_____8. Mounted machine properly.
_____9. Started engine – verified fluid levels.
_____10. Operated controls to warm-up hydraulics.
_____11. Checked steering/brakes.
_____12. Checked all safety items.
_____13. Checked all lights.
_____14. Inspected tracks for wear/missing parts (if a track loader).

B. Roading the Machine (this procedure applies to pneumatic tired loaders): The candidate correctly:

_____5. Made safe turns.

_____10. Backed away from truck while lowering bucket.
_____11. Wore seat belt.
